On May 17, 2022, the Sarnia-Lambton Energy and Environment Summit took place. It was attended by seventy-five participants with a genuine interest in the success of the Sarnia Lambton community. They represented a broad spectrum, including organization and agency representatives, elected officials, First Nations, business owners and representatives, environmentalists, educators, and students.
The intent of the summit, championed by the City of Sarnia, was to solicit valuable input on how the community can build a vibrant economy while working towards the goal of net zero carbon emissions. Their input and recommendations for next steps are summarized in the report.
