Funding for Workforce Innovation with the Skills Development Fund

Are you an Ontario organization facing hiring, training, or retention challenges? The Skills Development Fund (SDF) Training Stream offers funding for innovative projects to overcome these hurdles and drive economic growth.

Program Overview

The SDF Training Stream funds projects that:

• Address labour shortages and stimulate growth in key sectors.
• Create a sustainable, resilient workforce.
• Assist individuals facing barriers to employment, including those with prior involvement in the criminal justice system, racialized persons, Indigenous peoples, and those with disabilities.

Eligible organizations include:

• Employers, non-profits, trade unions, municipalities, and more

Applications must show how funding will:

• Support workforce resilience and access to the labour market.
• Foster partnerships and innovative training solutions.
• Support in-demand sectors like manufacturing, technology, and construction.
